Spring health series

* Tuesday, May 12 at 7 p.m.: Louis Bornstein, licensed acupunturist at 540 Lafayette Road, Hampton, 773-9975, will discuss the health benefits of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and tai chi. This presentation will show the strength of this medicine as a stand-alone treatment or used in conjunction with Western medicine. Acupuncture has been found to be useful in all fields of medicine from fertility and pregnancy to migraine relief, allergies and physical injuries. Bornstein has just returned from mainland China where he performed acupuncture treatments. He will perform clinical treatments if time permits.

* Tuesday, May 19 at 7 p.m.: Dr Martin Pruss will present "Heart Smarts and the Metabolic Syndrome." Dr Pruss is a family practitioner in the local area who specializes in cardiac health and diabetes.

* Tuesday, May 26 at 7 p.m.: Anita Diresta, LPN, customer care specialist Exeter on Hampton Care and Rehab center, will present a discussion on long-term care. This is the opportunity to ask for all the information you need to plan for your future.
