EAST KINGSTON -- The East Kingston Public Library will host a book reading event on Wednesday, April 8 at 7 p.m. Local author Lucinda Marcoux will sign and read from her recently published book “King of the Forest.”

This family tale of a brother and sister bond reads like a novel yet it is nonfiction — complete with flashbacks of early childhood antics set against the backdrop of detailed descriptions of the medical trauma they faced when he was treated for Hodgkin’s lymphoma and she became his stem cell donor.

Marcoux is a life-long resident of the area and works for a healthcare company in Beverly, Mass. All are welcome to attend. For more please visit www.eastkingstonlibrary.org or call 642-8333.

For information on “King of the Forest," visit www.peartreepublishing.net.

“King of the Forest” is now available for purchase at Water Street Bookstore, Inc. in downtown Exeter and at RiverRun Bookstore in downtown Portsmouth.
