Little Miss Sunshine 5 Stars

A comedy that is interesting, and very funny. It is about a family on a trip to enter their young daughter into a beauty contest.

The family has some heatbreaking problems along the way. There are quite a few laugh's.I thought the acting was very good, each family member is quite unique.

A different kind of story. Well worth renting.

Movies::

Da Vinci Code 3 Stars

Rented it. Kept our attention throughout. We thought the acting was good.

However, having not read the book, the story was somewhat difficult to understand.

The movie was really a big let down, considering the hype surrounding the movie, which went on for about six months, before it was actualy released in the theaters.

Local Food::

Carmen's Diner 3 Stars

Had burgers there last evening. Service pleasant and attentive. Burgers charred, tasted like came off of a well used grill.

Lighting from overhead spot lights was too bright. Need to either dim, or change to a different source of lighting.

Decor and sound echoing appears to be improving, with the addition of plants, curtains, and "knick-knacks".

We liked the farm country decor. Afterall we are in the country!

Books::

Primary Storm 5 Stars

Primary Storm by Brendan DuBois

This is another great read by a local author. I have read all of the author's Lewis Cole series which is set in NH. He is a very good mystery writer and always manages to keep the ending a surprise. This book was especially good since its main story line involves the first in the nation primary held in our state.
