Carmens Diner 5 Stars

My wife and I ate at Carmens last night (12-03) and had the best meal ever. Like most who have tried Carmens since it reopened quality and service wasn't great, but under the new management things have steadily improved.

We had seafood (clam boat-scallop boat) food was fresh, well prepared, and the service quick. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes, but not rushed.

They also are starting free home delivery. Sounds good to me!

Carmens Diner 1 Star

The first time I ate at Carmens I was totally disapointed. My son sent back his cold cheese burger, they then nuked it to a soggy mess. The wait staff was so unprofessional that my 11 year old just shook his head in disbelief. I also had a terrible meal.

The second time (as well as the last time) I ordered prime rib, it looked ok but then I tasted it.The first bit made me a bit uneasy with the spice they used. I felt maybe someone had accidentally put the wrong spice on that section ( I spit it out in my napkin) then proseeded to take a second bite from another part and again had that tase.

ROSEMARY is not normally used on prime rib it is a spice for lamb. The owner then came over to me and said EVERYONE uses Rosemary on prime rib.

I walked out telling him THE CUSTOMER IS ALLWAYS RIGHT!!!!

New Website 5 Stars

Carmen's Diner has a new website. It is:

www.carmensdinereknh.com

The website has not been totally completed but now has the current menu posted. The rest of the website will be finished by Thanksgiving hopefully.

We want to thank all for their comments on here and hope that we continue to improve with time.

Carmens 1 Star

Me and My husband have both been back to Carmens since the changeover in management.

The first time we sat there about 10 minutes before we even got menus, the second time we tried breakfast and the service was slow and what they tried to pass off as a biscuit was more like a hard piece of dough.

The third time I went with my mother and the service again was slow, same waitress as the first time we went. The final time and probably the last time for awhile was a take out order and that was fine, although it was just chicken fingers.

It is sad because this restaurant is so close to home but I think I'll be traveling to Exeter or Kensington for my next breakfast.
